‘President’ is a plum variety that enters the fruiting period early. It yields very abundantly, annually. The fruits are large, oval, covered with maroon-purple or almost dark blue skin. The flesh is quite compact, tasty. A typical dessert and processing variety.

Care of the ‘President’ plum tree

Wanting to stimulate the tree to bear abundant fruit, it is necessary to perform a formative pruning in the first year, immediately after planting. Trim the guide 20 cm above the planned branches. We also trim the remaining branches, shortening their length to 1/3. Pruning of plum trees is best done annually in the spring.
